Omni-Africa Group Inc. ("Omni-Africa," "we," "us") operates the APPOD platform at omniafricagroup.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and what rights you have. It applies to the public marketing site, the language subsites (/fr/, /es/, /kr/), the internal applications portal at /applications, the Contract Engine, the concierge widget, and every connected product and service.
Short version. We collect only what we need to run the platform, verify counterparties, execute contracts, deliver projects, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to train third-party AI models. We keep it as long as we need to and no longer. You have the right to see it, correct it, delete it, and take it with you.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to: (a) provide and operate the platform; (b) verify counterparties through the Vetting Gauntlet; (c) prepare, send, execute, and archive contracts; (d) process contributions and disbursements, including stablecoin transactions; (e) publish or maintain the Certified Ownership Ledger record for certified projects; (f) send you communications you have opted into; (g) meet legal, tax, sanctions, and anti-money-laundering obligations; (h) protect the security of the platform; (i) enforce our Terms of Service and executed contracts; (j) build the Insights section from anonymized, aggregated patterns.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it to train third-party artificial-intelligence models.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that requires a stated lawful basis, we rely on: contract (performing an agreement with you), legal obligation (KYC, sanctions, tax), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, platform improvement), and consent (marketing communications, non-essential cookies). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only where necessary and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-processing terms:
- TechFides — our technology and verification partner, for KYC/KYB, background verification, platform operations, and infrastructure. TechFides is subject to a Data Processing Agreement.
- E-signature and custody partners — DocuSign or equivalent for e-signature; regulated custody or on-chain settlement partners for stablecoin transactions.
- Legal and tax advisors, auditors, and insurers — under professional confidentiality.
- Regulators and law enforcement — where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- An acquirer or successor — in the event of merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. International Data Transfers
Omni-Africa is based in the United States. TechFides operates from multiple regions. Project data may be processed in the host nation of the project (for example, Gabon for Gabon Pilot projects). Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country not recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an equivalent safeguard.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, plus any period required by law. Contract records and KYC records are retained for at least seven (7) years after the end of the engagement, in line with U.S. and EU record-keeping requirements. Platform analytics data is retained for two (2) years. Concierge inputs are retained for ninety (90) days unless tied to a live conversation. After the retention period, we delete or anonymize the information.
8. Security
TechFides operates the Execution Shield, which includes network segmentation, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), role-based access control, multi-factor authentication for staff, quarterly access reviews, logging and monitoring, and regular vulnerability scanning. Sensitive documents (KYC files, contract PDFs) are stored in access-controlled repositories with audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal-data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities within the timelines required by law (typically 72 hours under GDPR).
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Data portability — receive a copy of your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for example, your national data-protection authority in the EU or UK, the California Attorney General for CCPA/CPRA rights).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@omniafricagroup.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
10. California, EU, and UK Specifics
10.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, sold, or disclosed; the right to delete; the right to correct; the right to opt out of sale or share of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising); and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not discriminate against consumers who exercise these rights.
10.2 EU and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the rights listed in Section 9. Our EU representative (once appointed) and UK representative (once appointed) will be listed at this URL. The lead supervisory authority for cross-border processing will be identified there.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The public site uses only strictly necessary cookies (session, language preference, concierge state). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. The internal applications portal uses sessionStorage for the access-code gate, which expires when you close the browser tab. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and provide a clear consent choice.
12. Automated Decision-Making
The Vetting Gauntlet uses automated tools (sanctions screening, PEP screening, document verification) but every gate decision involves a human reviewer at Omni-Africa or TechFides. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.
13. Do Not Track
Because there is no industry consensus on the meaning of "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to them. When there is a consensus standard, we will update this section.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users.
